5. Advanced Operations

5-1-1 VFO Scan

Scans the entire band in the VFO mode.

1. Press the V/M key to activate the

VFO mode.

2. Press and hold the ▲/▼ keys for 1

to 2 seconds to start scanning.

The decimal point blinks during

scanning.

Scanning direction goes upward by

pressing the ▲ key, and downward

by pressing the ▼ key.

3. To stop scanning, press the PTT key,

the FUNC key or the V/M key.

When the MONI key is pressed,

scanning stops temporarily and the

monitor function is activated. When

the key is released, scanning resumes.

5-1-2 Memory Scan

Scans only the programmed memory

channels.

1. Press the V/M key to activate the

Memory mode.

2. Press and hold the ▲/▼ keys for

1 to 2 seconds to start scanning.

The decimal point blinks during the

scan.

The operation is the same as with the

VFO scan.
